Tom Katalin at the Pea Patch

Tom Katalin plays solo acoustic, switching between guitar, bass, mandolin and harmonica. His set is country at its core but runs through light rock, classic rock and some blues, and he will play a polka if asked. He has opened for national acts including Gordon Lightfoot, Little Texas and Ricky Skaggs.

A one-person show with plenty of talk between songs. Tom is known for his humor and for working the room, so it feels more like a night out with a friend than a formal concert. The Pea Patch is a motel and saloon with a full bar, a kitchen serving lunch and dinner, and windows that look out over Rest Lake.

Solo shows by a working country singer, with covers of Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean and Eric Church, give a room plenty to sing along to. The Pea Patch sits next to the Rest Lake Dam on the Manitowish Chain O' Lakes, so the setting is as much a draw as the music. It is a good pick for a relaxed evening in Manitowish Waters.
