A tribute to Chicago coming to Eagle River, with tickets available at the door or online.
Who's playing
Alive Again is a Midwest-based tribute band of musicians and vocalists dedicated to Chicago's catalog. Dr. Patrick Phelan founded the group, and he has performed in a tribute band himself. The lineup includes a three-piece horn section, which gives the arrangements the brass sound that defined the original band.
What to expect
The show moves through Chicago's decades-long career, from horn-driven hits to power ballads. A narrator shares the history of the original band between songs, so the music comes with background. Songs in the program include 25 or 6 to 4, Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?, If You Leave Me Now, Hard to Say I'm Sorry and You're the Inspiration. Before the concert, Phelan hosts a question-and-answer session in the school commons.
Why go
This is a chance to hear Chicago's songs played live in a school auditorium in Eagle River. The horn section and the narration give the night more shape than a typical cover set. For fans who grew up with these songs, the sing-along is a big part of the appeal.
