Try It Wheel Throwing Lessons

About this event
In this workshop you will: Learn and try the very basics of wheel throwing We will assist you in finishing at least one fireable piece ($10 for each additional piece you may make) Choose a glaze color for us to finish or return after bisque firing to glaze yourself Age Requirement: This ceramic class is designed for participants 14 years of age and older. For students under 14+ please refer to our youth offerings. Students under 18 must have a parent or guardian complete the registration.
What to expect
The workshop starts with the basics of throwing clay on a potter's wheel. The studio team helps you finish at least one piece that is ready for the kiln. When the piece is done, you can pick a glaze color for the studio to apply, or come back after the bisque firing and glaze it yourself.
Why go
Earth Goods is best known for its paint-your-own pottery, with a boutique up front and a drink bar in the back workshop room. This class puts you at the wheel instead of at a painting table. Wheel work is a different skill, and one session gives you a real first try at it.
