About this event
Learn the basics of tree ID and the skills needed to make a beautiful holiday wreath from fresh cut conifer boughs Pre-registration is required and spaces are limited. 715-479-6456
What to expect
Participants learn the basics of tree identification, then build a wreath from conifer boughs cut for the class. Trees For Tomorrow's educators lead the work, and the feel is more workshop than lecture. The class is held on the campus, 40 acres of woodland on East Sheridan Street, set among rustic buildings from the 1930s.
Why go
Trees For Tomorrow has been teaching people about natural resources since 1944, so the class comes from people who know the woods well. The campus forest is nearly 200 years old, a mix of hardwood, pine and hemlock, with an interpretive trail. It suits anyone who wants a seasonal project with some woods knowledge attached and a wreath to take home.
