Plum Lake Fiction Book Group
Monday, November 9 at Plum Lake Public Library, Minocqua
About this event
The Plum Lake Fiction Book Group is a monthly discussion of novels run by the Plum Lake Public Library in Sayner. Each month the group talks through one book from a schedule the library posts well ahead. It suits readers around Minocqua who like talking about a novel after they finish it.
What to expect
Each meeting centers on one novel from the library's posted schedule, with the titles chosen months in advance. Past picks have included The Lost Story by Meg Shaffer, which the group read in spring 2025. The talk is about characters, plot and what each reader took from the book, with the library's staff helping keep things on track.
Why go
Plum Lake Public Library has served the Sayner area since 1939 and belongs to the Northern Waters library network, so the books come from a working local collection. A standing monthly date is a good push to finish a novel you might otherwise leave half-read. For readers around Minocqua who enjoy fiction and a good conversation about it, the group is an easy fit.
