Night Owls Book Group
Wednesday, November 4 at Plum Lake Public Library, Minocqua
About this event
Night Owls Book Group is a standing book club at Plum Lake Public Library in Sayner, a short drive from Minocqua. Members read a shared title and meet to talk about it. Because the club runs through the library, it offers a steady, low-key way to keep a reading habit with other people in the area.
What to expect
Each meeting centers on the book the group has agreed to read, with members talking through what worked, what stuck with them, and what they would change. The library publishes its book club schedules and monthly picks on its website, so the title is easy to check ahead. The setting is a working public library, so the talk is informal and unhurried, more conversation than lecture.
Why go
Plum Lake Public Library has been recognized as one of America's best public libraries, and its catalog is shared across the Northern Waters library system. That makes the book easy to get hold of, even when it is not on the local shelves. For anyone in the Sayner or Minocqua area who wants a regular evening of reading and talk, this is a practical choice.
