What to expect
The center runs on open hours, with staff on hand to help with the coursework and skills people bring in. Support covers occupational and general education classes, GED and HSED preparation, and basic computer use. Time management, financial literacy, and goal-setting, note-taking and test-taking techniques are also on the list. Instruction for English language learners and basic skills and literacy work are offered too.
Why go
The range of help is wide, from GED and HSED prep to career exploration and job-readiness skills. The Academic Success Program is built for people who need support while they are still in class, not only before they start. For someone in the Minocqua area, it is a useful place to get that help without going far from home.
