Coffee, Cookies, & Conversation
Monday, November 2 at Plum Lake Public Library, Minocqua
About this event
Coffee, Cookies, & Conversation is a relaxed get-together at Plum Lake Public Library in Sayner, where coffee and cookies are set out for anyone who stops by. The point is the talk, so it suits people who want company more than a program. The library is a small-town branch in the Minocqua area, and this is an easy way to step inside and meet neighbors.
What to expect
Coffee, cookies and a little conversation are the whole plan, with no speaker or agenda to sit through. Visitors drop in and talk about whatever comes up. The feel is that of a small-town library, where a conversation can start with whoever is nearby.
Why go
Few library events are this low-key, and that is the appeal for anyone who wants a sociable hour with no homework. Plum Lake Public Library also runs monthly book clubs and lends passes to the Northwoods Children's Museum in Eagle River. The coffee hour is an easy way to learn what else the library offers.
