Magic: The Gathering – Star Trek Prerelease

Each entrant gets a Star Trek prerelease pack with six play boosters, a foil promo card, a deck box and a spindown die. You build a 40-card sealed deck from those cards and any basic lands you add. Matches run in Swiss rounds, so you keep facing players who have won and lost about as often as you have.

Prerelease events are built for relaxed play, so newer players and longtime Magic fans sit at the same tables. TalonSong is a card and game shop with table space, shelves of trading cards, tabletop books and comics, and a stock of vintage video games. Owners Evan and Megan Pfliegaer opened the store in 2022 with the idea of a community gathering place, and this event fits that plan.
