Eagle River 2026 3rd Line Hockey Draught Tournament

3rd Line Hockey runs draft tournaments in cities across the country, and this one is its Eagle River stop. It is coed and open to adults of all skill levels. Players come as individuals and are drafted onto teams, which are capped at ten skaters and a goalie.

The event opens with a draft party where teams are built, with some free beer and non-alcoholic options available. Game play follows over the tournament, with five games guaranteed and individual player awards. Players get a themed jersey, matching socks and a breezer shell to keep, and the locker rooms are stocked with drinks and tape. The top three teams are honored at the end, and the fourth-place team receives commemorative pucks.

The rink is a big part of the appeal. Eagle River Sports Arena is a wooden dome built by local volunteers in 1933, and it is the first indoor hockey arena in Wisconsin. It is home to the Wisconsin Hockey Hall of Fame, so players get some history along with their ice time. Complete game stats and professional photos give the tournament a keepsake to take home.
