Watercolor Group
Tuesday, November 3 at The Warehouse Community Arts Center, Minocqua
About this event
Watercolor community class will be guided by Steve Opfer. Steve chooses a theme each week and offers many inspiration and reference photos and emails them. Participants choose what image they want to create, and spend the class time working and enjoying the camaraderie. If you prefer to join the watercolor class virtually via Zoom, please contact us and we will send you the Zoom link. We also offer an open studio time every Tuesday from 10:30 am-12 pm, available for people to work independently on their artwork. Participants will provide their own materials.
What to expect
Steve Opfer guides the group with a new theme each week, sent out ahead with reference photos to start from. Everyone picks the image they want to create, then spends the session painting and talking with the others. Participants provide their own materials. Those who prefer to join from home can take part by Zoom.
Why go
The class is built around camaraderie as much as technique, and the weekly theme gives everyone a fresh starting point. The Warehouse is worth knowing in its own right: an arts center in downtown Eagle River on Railroad Street, with classes, exhibits and live music most Fridays. For a painter who wants to make something with other people, this is an easy fit.
