Calling all rolling, crawling, and walking little ones and those who care for them come to the library for active free-play in the community room when it’s too cold to “move it” outside
What to expect
Children crawl, roll and walk around the community room while their caregivers keep an eye on them. The library sets the room up with soft, safe play spaces, which suits the youngest movers as well as toddlers who are just learning to walk. It is unstructured free play, so there is no lesson to follow and children move at their own pace.
Why go
Winter leaves few indoor places for toddlers to burn off energy, and this session gives them one close to home in Tomahawk. It is a useful stop for parents and caregivers who want a change of scenery with the little ones. The library also runs Library Time, a play-based early literacy program, so families have more reasons to visit the building.
