Magic: The Gathering Commander Night

TalonSong Gaming runs the night itself, and the shop is run by its owners. They have sat in on games with regular customers. The event draws local Magic players and visitors who want a casual table without a tournament feel.

Commander is a multiplayer format. Each deck has 100 cards, one copy of each card apart from basic lands, and a legendary creature to lead it. Games are casual, with players trading turns around the table. The shop has tables set up for play and a stock of cards, dice and tabletop books nearby.

You do not need your own deck to sit down. Renting one from the shop makes it easy to try the format on a regular evening. For a Minocqua player looking for a steady group, this is a good place to start.
