Community Game Night
Wednesday, November 4 at TalonSong Gaming, Minocqua
About this event
Wednesday nights at TalonSong are for play! Bring the family and try out new games, play with new people, or watch the spectacle! Games Include: Magic: the Gathering (Pioneer, Pauper, and Commander) Warhammer 40,000 Pokemon Trading Card Game Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game Villainous (Disney or Star Wars) Carcassonne, Catan and more!
Who's playing
TalonSong is run by a Minocqua family who opened the store as a shop and a community space at once. The game list is wide, covering trading card games, a miniatures war game and classic board games. Magic: The Gathering is offered in Pioneer, Pauper and Commander, so players with different experience can find a format.
What to expect
Expect a room of tables, with card players, miniature hobbyists and board game groups set up side by side. The list includes Villainous in its Disney and Star Wars versions, with Carcassonne and Catan alongside the card games. Newcomers are welcome to try games they have not played before, and the mix of ages keeps the room casual.
Why go
The draw is the mix. Trading card players, board game fans and families share one space, and the store has table room set aside for play. For a Minocqua evening where kids can try new games and adults can find a table of their own, it is a good fit.
