Casual Pokémon TCG & Learn to Play

Games here are casual, so the pace is set by the people at the table rather than by a tournament clock. Newcomers get the basics from experienced players before they sit down to play. The store's learn-to-play decks can be borrowed, so a first-timer can start a game right away. Trading between players is welcome alongside the games.

This is a low-pressure way to learn Pokémon with a mix of ages at the same table. TalonSong is a working game store with table space for playing and a wide stock of trading card games, so there is plenty to look at around the event. Reviewers describe the owners as friendly, and the store runs events regularly, which makes it an easy first visit for anyone curious about the game.
