Heart and Soul Quilters Group

Members quilt together and visit as they work, so the talk runs as freely as the thread. The group meets regularly through the year, and the same open welcome applies at every session. The Kalmar Center is a community space in Eagle River, and this group gives quilters a steady place to sew with others.

The Kalmar Community Center opened in 1986 to serve seniors in the Eagle River area, and an all-volunteer team runs it. It is funded through memberships, donations and fundraising, so groups like this one are part of what keeps the building in use. For anyone who enjoys quilting and good company, it is a low-pressure way to spend time with other quilters.
