About this event
Begin your day by quilting with others and socializing. All are welcome.
What to expect
Members spend each session quilting with others, with plenty of time to talk while they sew. The Kalmar has also hosted the Cranberry Country Quilters' Care and Share sessions, where members cut kits and assemble quilt tops for donation. Heart and Soul has shared the room with that group, so it is a space quilters already use.
Why go
The Kalmar Community Center opened in 1986 to serve seniors in the Eagle River area, and an all-volunteer team runs it on memberships, donations and fundraising. A quilting group there is a low-key way to meet local quilters and see how the center works. It suits anyone who would rather sew in company than alone.
