Hatha Yoga Monday Nights at The Warehouse Community Art Center

Cindi Schickert came to yoga in 2003, hoping for relief from back and neck pain. She had spent years teaching aerobics and exercise classes, and yoga gave her a sense of peace she had been missing. She opened Treetop Yoga, a small studio in her Sussex home, in 2010, and moved to Eagle River in 2018. Beginner classes are her favorite to teach.

The pace is slow and steady. Each posture is held long enough to settle in, with gentle flow between them. The Warehouse has been on Railroad Street in downtown Eagle River since 2015, and it hosts classes, performances and workshops in the same building.

This is a low-pressure way to build a regular practice, and the focus on breath suits both new students and people coming back to yoga. Eagle River sits among more than 300 lakes and large stretches of forest, so a session here pairs well with a day outdoors around Minocqua.
