Who's playing

Pastor Mark Gilbert speaks at the dinner about how the congregation is working to address hunger. The church's 2026 mission focus is increasing food security locally and worldwide. The Men's Group is preparing the meal with help from other church volunteers.

What to expect

The meal is a traditional spread of ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn casserole, rolls, salads and desserts, with beverages. Church volunteers prepare and serve everything in the church's own building, which gives it the feel of a neighborly supper. Pastor Gilbert's talk keeps the focus on the cause as well as the food.

Why go

Church of the Pines held Harvest Dinners for more than four decades, starting in the 1950s to help pay for its new sanctuary. The dinner is back now, with the money going to the church's food security work. It is a good meal in Minocqua that also does some good.
