Friends' Meeting

The Friends meet every other month from January through November, in the library's reading room. The group is a volunteer one that raises money for the library through used book sales, a wine tasting each October and a cookie walk each November. Newcomers are welcome to sit in and learn how the group works.

The Friends have been the library's main fundraising arm since 1988 and cover a large share of its operating budget. Their money has bought computers, shelving, magazine subscriptions and children's summer reading programs. A meeting is a direct look at where that support goes, and a good starting point for anyone thinking about volunteering.
