About this event
If an evening class fits your lifestyle, this is a perfect time to CREATE. EXPLORE. GROW. Materials, instruction, inspiration, & community provided. Tuesday • 6 PM–8 PM • $225 • 8 WEEKS BEGINNER–ADVANCED • TEENS & ADULTS Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or continuing an artistic journey, explore the medium & creative direction that interests you.
Who's playing
Peggy Grinvalsky is a studio artist, muralist and book illustrator, and she teaches the Campanile's visual arts classes. She is known for a relaxed teaching style. She helps students learn to draw what they see, build a lively sense of color, and work with bold, energetic marks.
What to expect
Students pick a medium and a creative direction, and the class covers both beginners and more experienced artists. Materials and instruction come with the class, so the evening is about the work itself. The series runs for eight weeks, which gives the fall a steady weekly rhythm.
Why go
The draw here is a working artist at the front of the room rather than a how-to video. For anyone who has wanted to draw or paint but never started, a structured series is an easy place to begin. It also suits people who already paint and want a set time each week to work.
