100% Wool Eco-Friendly Dryer Balls Workshop

About this event
Join local artist Darcy Lanz-Sage for this fun fun workshop creating 100% wool, eco-friendly dryer balls. Using fabric softeners and dryer sheets can be harmful to you and to the environment. An alternative method to softening your clothes is to use 100% wool dryer balls. Dryer balls have the added benefit of drying your clothes a bit faster, thus reducing the amount of electricity used! All materials provided. Participants will leave with 1 set (of 3) decorative dryer balls, which is a great value! They make wonderful gifts! Participants are welcome to bring snacks and beverages to class. Registration is required by 11/1/26. Tuesday 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM. $40/Non-Member and $35/Member. Who's playing
Local artist Darcy Lanz-Sage leads the workshop. She is a retired art educator with more than 45 years of teaching students of all ages. Her own work is layered, textured fabric and paper, often drawing on nature, and it has been widely exhibited.
What to expect
A small, hands-on class where you make the balls yourself, guided step by step by the instructor. The session meets in the Forest Room inside the Discovery Center's Nature Hall. You leave with a set of three decorative dryer balls.
