Wiggle, Giggle & Shake is a weekly music and movement session for children ages 0 to 4 and their caregivers at Minocqua Public Library. Children's Wisconsin runs it in the library's program room, where families sing, dance and play together. It is a simple, low-key way for little ones to burn off energy and meet other families in Minocqua.
Who's playing
Children's Wisconsin staff lead Wiggle, Giggle & Shake, and the library sponsors it as part of its children's programming. The session is aimed at babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Caregivers join in the singing and movement alongside their children.
What to expect
The hour is built around songs, dancing and play rather than sitting still. Expect plenty of movement, with the grown-ups joining in as much as the kids do. The program room is the setting, a space the library uses for its other hands-on children's programs.
Why go
The session fits the library's push to get children reading 1000 books before they start school. Songs and movement are an easy early step for toddlers and preschoolers. For families with little ones at home, it is a regular outing close to the library.
