Teen Art Experience

Teens spend open studio time with local artists nearby and move between materials and projects as they like. The feel is casual and unstructured, closer to a hangout with supplies than a formal class. Each session runs in the afternoon, and the mix of media changes from one week to the next.

ArtStart is housed in the historic Federal Building on South Stevens Street, a former post office that volunteers turned into a working arts center. The building holds two galleries, a stage and a children's art classroom. Teens who want regular time with working artists and a wide range of materials will find that here.
