About this event
November’s Book | The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig Do you love magic, romance and drama? Join the book club at the library dedicated entirely to the romantasy genre! Meetings occur on the third Wednesday of each month at the library. New members always welcome! Come for the magic, stay for the yearning. The Knight and the Moth is a gothic fantasy that follows Sybil Delling (called “Six”), a young “Diviner” in the kingdom of Traum who foretells futures by having visions from six entities known as Omens. When her fellow seers begin to vanish, she must team up with a cynical, heretical knight named Rodrick (“Rory”) to find the truth. For more information contact Tina at tbonack@minocqualibrary.org
What to expect
Meetings run once a month, with discussion built around the book. Each meeting includes an activity or a snack alongside the talk, and new members are welcome to join. The group meets in the library's History Room, so expect a conversational circle of readers rather than a lecture.
Why go
The Knight and the Moth is a gothic fantasy that follows Sybil Delling, called Six, a young Diviner in the kingdom of Traum. She reads futures through visions from six entities called Omens. When her fellow seers start to vanish, she teams up with Rodrick, called Rory, a cynical and heretical knight, to find out why. It is a good fit for readers who want to talk through a fantasy with a romance running underneath it.
