What to expect
Help is one-on-one and tied to what the student brings in, such as a class assignment or a program they are already enrolled in. The wider menu includes time management, financial literacy, goal-setting, note-taking and test-taking techniques, and College Success Workshops. Career exploration, employability skills, basic skills and literacy instruction, and an alternative high school program round out the list.
Why go
The range is the appeal. A person can stop in with one question about a paper or a math problem, or work toward a GED or HSED over several months. Instruction for English language learners is part of the same program, which makes it a useful resource for families in the Minocqua area.
