About this event
Join Jeannie to create your version of a fun Fall Gnome which will look great on your door or wall. We will use foam board, leaves, burlap/fabric, and small bits of decor for this project. The finished project is approximately 33″ x 12″ in size. Date(s): November 12th Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM Price: $35 Materials: All materials provided. Feel free to bring your favorite pair of scissors if you like! Wear clothes to create in.
Who's playing
Jeannie Arndt teaches the class. She has been involved in theater since high school and started upcycling furniture around 2010, then moved on to smaller crafts. After retiring to Eagle River, she offered a craft class as a lark, and it grew into a monthly class she now teaches at several places in Vilas County. This is her first class at LOLA.
What to expect
Everything you need is supplied, so the session is about putting the pieces together. The gnome is built on a foam board base, with leaves, burlap or fabric, and small decorative bits added on top. Wear clothes you do not mind getting crafty in, and bring your own favorite scissors if you have a pair you like.
Why go
Most people sign up for this class to end up with a seasonal decoration they made themselves. LOLA exists to promote the arts across Northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula, and to support local artists and bring arts education to the area. A class like this one is a good way to spend an afternoon in Land O' Lakes with a project to show for it.
