About this event
If an evening class fits your lifestyle, this is a perfect time to CREATE. EXPLORE. GROW. Materials, instruction, inspiration, & community provided. Tuesday • 6 PM–8 PM • $225 • 8 WEEKS BEGINNER–ADVANCED • TEENS & ADULTS Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or continuing an artistic journey, explore the medium & creative direction that interests you.
Who's playing
Peggy Grinvalsky leads the class. She is a studio artist, muralist and book illustrator, and she is known for a relaxed teaching style. She helps students learn to draw what they see, build a lively sense of color, and experiment with bold, vital work. Students pick their own medium, and she works with them from there.
What to expect
The course runs eight weeks, so projects can build from one session to the next. It is open to first-time brush users as well as students continuing a long artistic practice. Art materials are supplied, and the instruction is hands-on, with time spent on the medium each student has chosen.
Why go
The Campanile is a former St. Patrick's Church on the Island, the civic heart of Minocqua. The building now houses an arts center and a gallery that hangs a new exhibit each quarter. A fall course here gives you a steady reason to spend time in that building and to make something with your own hands.
