What to expect
Staff offer one-on-one help with class assignments and academic work. The program covers GED and HSED preparation, basic computer use, time management, financial literacy and English language learner instruction. Goal-setting, note-taking and test-taking techniques are part of the mix, along with career exploration and job-readiness skills.
Why go
The Olson library was renovated in 2017, adding study and computer rooms, a public meeting room and a fireplace in the adult area. That makes it a comfortable place to work through a hard assignment or a GED lesson. Minocqua also has an Academic Success site at Minocqua Public Library for readers closer to town.
