Muddy Hands Clay: Wheel Throwing & Handbuilding

The handbuilding session is built for people new to clay. You roll slabs, press in textures and shape a vase, cup or bowl by hand, with no art experience needed. Each student works with three pounds of clay. The instructor finishes, glazes and fires each piece, which you pick up from the glaze kiln a few weeks later.

The Warehouse is Eagle River's arts hub, with classes, exhibits and a free Friday night music series. A single handbuilding session is a low-commitment way to find out whether clay suits you. The studio also runs a four-week handbuilding course for anyone who wants more time at the table.
