American Mahjong
Thursday, November 5 at Winchester Public Library, Minocqua
About this event
American Mahjong is a weekly tile-game session held in the community room of Winchester Public Library on Lake Street in Winchester. Players sit at tables and play the American version of mahjong, and beginners and experienced players are both welcome. It is a low-key way to spend time near Minocqua without a long drive.
What to expect
Players gather at tables in the library's community room, a plain meeting space rather than a game hall. Beginners and experts are both welcome, so a first-timer can learn alongside regulars. The program repeats every week, so there is no need to pick up the game in a single visit.
Why go
Winchester Public Library is a small village library, and this program is one of its regular offerings. Weekly play gives you a steady group to learn with, close to home for people in the Minocqua area. For anyone who has wanted to try American mahjong in person, the library is an easy place to start.
